The Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit  is seeking a full-time contract aquarist (6 month contract).  Please see the files included below for details and instructions on how to apply.  Questions related to the application process should be directed to SMEE Manager, Bill Hoffman at hoffman@si.edu. Friends of the Smithsonian Marine Station

Everyone needs friends, and the Smithsonian Marine Station is no exception. Although we are funded by trust funds administered by the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, there are always more needs than can be addressed by the funds available. In 2006, some local citizens and others who believe in our mission, took steps to supplement our funding by becoming members of the Friends of the Smithsonian Marine Station.

Our Friends have provided monies for things great and small over the past few years, including support for postdoctoral fellows, supplemental funding toward the puchase of a new confocal microscope, and providing important items for use in educating the public at our Ecosystems Exhibit.

The Smithsonian Marine Station is a non-profit organization under IRS Section 501(c)(3) guidelines and qualifies for tax-deductible contributions under Section 170(c).

Volunteering Your Time and Talents!
