Description
Almost 20 years ago, the discovery of a human skeleton with a chimp-sized brain and short stature (~1 meter) in a cave on a remote Indonesian island shocked both scientists and the general public around the world. Dr. Matt Tocheri, the Canada Research Chair in Human Origins at Lakehead University and a Research Associate in the Smithsonian Institution's Human Origins Program, shares his knowledge about Homo floresiensis, the enigmatic "hobbits" of human evolution.
Moderator: Briana Pobiner, paleoanthropologist and educator at Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.
