Anthropology and Social Studies Resources
Anthropology is the study of humans and their societies in the past and present. Research in the Department of Anthropology spans from the emergence of our earliest ancestors to the ways communities sustain their cultures in today’s globalized societies.
These teaching resources include short articles written by Smithsonian museum educators; curated collections of links to lessons, activities, posters, worksheets, and more; and videos featuring Smithsonian scientists and experts, and align to Next Generation Science Standards and/or National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies.
