Chun-Hsi Wong serves as the Associate Director for Operations at the National Museum of Natural History and leads the teams responsible for Facilities Operations, the Museum Support Center, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Chun-Hsi has over 25 years of experience in architecture, planning, and facilities management. He is an architect with an extensive background in historic preservation and technically complex building types. Before joining the National Museum of Natural History staff as Assistant Director for Facilities Operations in 2008, he led Headquarters Facilities Operations at the Department of Homeland Security, responsible for managing all facilities, design, and construction projects.
In the private industry, Chun-Hsi worked at several architectural firms of various sizes, serving as project manager and/or project architect. Some of his representative projects are: Renovation and Reconstruction of the Pentagon, Rehabilitation of Terminal A at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Design and Construction of several Hyatt and Marriott Hotels as well as Master Plan and Architecture for a new satellite town outside of Istanbul, Turkey.
Chun-Hsi received his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Maryland at College Park and his Master’s in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
